Our Assetto Corsa servers run AssettoServer, which has its own set of admin commands. You can use them in two places: the in-game chat, once you are admin, and the console in the panel, which is always admin.
Every command below is checked against the AssettoServer release our servers run by default, v0.0.55-pre44.
Becoming admin in game#
There are two ways, and you can use both.
The admin password. Each server gets its own admin password when it is created, shown in the panel's Startup settings as Admin Password. In the chat, type:
/admin YOUR_ADMIN_PASSWORD
The server answers You are now Admin for this server. You stay admin until you leave.
The Admins list. Put the SteamID64 of each admin in the panel's Admins setting, separated by commas, and restart. Those players are admin as soon as they join, with no password to type.
Change the admin password in the panel if it has been shared with someone who should no longer have it. The new one applies on the next restart.
Using the panel console#
The panel's console sends what you type to the server as an admin command, with or without the slash:
say Race starts in five minutes
next_session
kick 3 ignoring blue flags
The server's reply appears in the console. This works with nobody connected, which makes it the place for changing sessions, time and weather before your drivers arrive.
Naming a player#
Commands that act on a player take any one of:
- their car ID, the slot number they are driving in
- their SteamID64
- their name, matched exactly first and then as part of a name, with an optional
@in front
For a player whose name has spaces in it, use the car ID or SteamID64 instead.
Session and server commands#

/say <message> | Sends a message to every player, shown as from CONSOLE. |
/next_session | Ends the current session and moves to the next one. Also /ksns. |
/restart_session | Starts the current session again. Also /ksrs. |
/set <key> <value> | Changes a setting while the server runs. Keys in server_cfg.ini start with Server., keys in extra_cfg.yml with Extra.. Lost on restart, and not every setting can change at runtime. |
/whitelist <steamid64> | Adds a player to the server's whitelist. |
Player commands#

/forcelights <on|off> <player> | Makes a player's headlights show as on for everyone else. |
Kicks and bans cannot target an admin, or yourself.

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/settime <time> | Sets the time of day, as hours and minutes, for example /settime 15:31. |
/setweather <id> | Switches to a weather from server_cfg.ini: 0 for [WEATHER_0], 1 for [WEATHER_1]. |
/cspweather | Lists the Custom Shaders Patch weather types. |
/setcspweather <type> <seconds> | Changes to a CSP weather type over the given number of seconds. The transition only applies with EnableWeatherFx: true in cfg/extra_cfg.yml. |
/setrain <intensity> <wetness> <water> | Sets the rain directly, as three decimal numbers. |
/setgrip <0-1> | Sets the track's grip, such as 0.95. |
AI traffic#
On a server with AI traffic on, /setaioverbooking <count> sets how many AI cars each AI slot that no player is using drives at once. See Add Cars and Tracks with a Content Manager Pack for switching traffic on.
