Zumble Voice Server Hosting

Move your FiveM server's voice chat onto its own Zumble server: your Mumble-based voice resource keeps working as it is, and voice traffic stops sharing the game server's network and tick.

FIVEM VOICE, ON ITS OWN SERVER

Zumble is an open-source Mumble server written in Rust for FiveM. Point your FiveM server at it and players' voice goes to Zumble instead of the game server's built-in Mumble, so a busy night of radio and proximity chat is no longer your game server's work.

  • Works With Your Voice Resource

FiveM's client Mumble natives work unchanged, so pma-voice and other Mumble-based voice resources only need the server's address and port

  • Separate From the Game

Voice runs as its own multithreaded server on its own port, off your FXServer's network and tick

  • Admin API and Metrics

An HTTP API on a second port mirrors the server-side natives: mute and deafen players, list who is connected, and scrape Prometheus metrics. It sits behind basic auth with a password of its own for each server, and you can turn it off

  • FiveM Clients Only

On by default: Zumble turns away any client that is not FiveM's own CitizenFX Mumble client, so ordinary Mumble apps cannot join. It is a switch in the panel

Point FiveM at your Zumble server

With pma-voice, add these two lines to your FiveM server's config, using the address and voice port shown in the panel, then restart the server. Players need nothing new: their game connects to Zumble by itself.

server.cfg
setr voice_externalAddress "203.0.113.10"
setr voice_externalPort "64738"

203.0.113.10 and 64738 stand in for your server's own address and port.
