Question 1

How do players join my server?

Accepted Answer

Each player needs Schedule I on Steam for Windows, MelonLoader, and the S1DedicatedServers client package for the server's runtime. The mod adds a Servers button to the main menu, where players enter your server's IP and port, both shown in the panel, and can save it as a favourite.

Question 2

Is this an official Schedule I dedicated server?

Accepted Answer

No. Schedule I does not ship a dedicated server. Your server runs the game itself without graphics, with MelonLoader and S1DedicatedServers, an open-source community mod that is not affiliated with the game's developer. That is also why every player needs the mod's client package to join.

Question 3

Which runtime does my server use, IL2CPP or Mono?

Accepted Answer

IL2CPP, the normal Steam version of the game, unless you change it. To run Mono, the game's alternate Steam branch, set Game Runtime in the panel and reinstall the server. The reinstall keeps your saves and settings. Players then switch to the alternate branch and use the Mono client package, and any mods in Mods/ need their Mono builds.

Question 4

Do players need the same version as the server?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The server and every player should run the same game build and the same release of S1DedicatedServers. The server installs the mod's latest release when it is installed. After a game or mod update, reinstall from the panel to bring the server up to date, which keeps your saves and settings, and have players update their client package to the same release.

Question 5

How many players can join?

Accepted Answer

Up to 16. The game is designed for 4 players, and the mod allows more, though bigger groups can be less stable. The Crew preset is sized for 1 to 4 players, Gang for 5 to 8 and Syndicate for 9 to 16, and you set the player limit in the panel.

Question 6

Can I control which mods players join with?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Client mod verification checks each joining player's mods before letting them in. From the panel you can allow client-only mods such as UI or cosmetic ones, refuse mods known to be used for cheating, or turn on strict mode, which only lets in exact client mod builds you have approved.

Question 7

Can my server be listed publicly?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you want. Turn on List Publicly in the panel with the listing ID and secret from the S1DedicatedServers server portal at s1servers.com, and the server appears in the mod's public server list. Joining by IP and port works either way.

Question 8

Why does a Schedule I server need more memory than most?

Accepted Answer

Because it runs the whole game, not a slimmed-down server program. It uses about 2.5 GB of memory with nobody on, so the Crew preset starts at 6 GB to leave room for players.

Question 9

Where can I host a Schedule I server?

Accepted Answer

In London or New York. Pick the one closer to most of your players.

Question 10

How fast is deployment?

Accepted Answer

Most game servers provision in under a minute, with the selected hardware profile applied before first boot.

Question 11

Is DDoS protection included?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Terabit includes volumetric protection and in-house filtering on public game services at no extra cost.

Question 12

Can I change my configuration later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CPU, memory, storage, and most add-ons can be adjusted later if your community outgrows the initial setup.

Question 13

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Game servers are refundable within 48 hours after delivery when requested through billing support, so you can try the service risk-free.

Question 14

What support do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Terabit provides 24/7 human support, so mitigation and infrastructure engineers are available around the clock to help with setup, attacks, or configuration questions.
